Our experience

The team at Caledonian Climate brings clients a wealth of experience in land management, peatland restoration and corporate sustainability, as well as a valuable network of people and organisations. This depth of shared experience and knowledge is what makes us unique.

We’ve been working with landholders and rural businesses throughout Scotland for many years to help them maximise the potential of their natural capital resources.

We also have an in-depth understanding of the development, implementation and evaluation of corporate sustainability strategies for global businesses and their supply chains.

Over the last five years, the team has been at the forefront of peatland restoration in Scotland, developing and delivering more peatland projects than any other organisation – we lead the registration of accredited peatland restoration projects on the UK Land Carbon Registry.

Science and innovation

Importantly, we also embrace the very latest innovations in monitoring and restoration – guided by the latest science and research, the UK Peatland Code and the specialist expertise of our Advisory Board. We’re also delighted to have built strong relationships with local contractors, encouraging their growth and the development of local jobs and young talent.

Existing clients

Our existing clients include:

  • Landholders and managers who are either planning peatland restoration projects, or have already completed them.
  • Small and medium-sized businesses keen to embrace a high-quality, nature-based climate initiative.
  • Corporates with a commitment to invest in Nature Based Solutions that deliver multiple benefits, including generating carbon credits, while bringing their nature restoration and net zero story to life for customers, employees, shareholders and other stakeholders.

Since 2017, Caledonian Climate has assessed more than 20,000 hectares of degraded peatland in Scotland, delivering multiple benefits to the landscape and climate. We’re dedicated to continuing this work to tackle the climate and nature emergency while supporting and benefiting the landholders and businesses we partner with.
