Driven by Data - European Space Agency funding secured!
CCP, alongside Viridien (formerly CGG) and part funded by the European Space Agency, are thrilled to be collaborating on a potentially highly impactful feasibility study.
By exploring the potential of remote earth observation to deliver accurate, timely, and comprehensive assessments of medium to large-scale NbS projects, the NbS Monitoring feasibility study aims to increase the confidence and transparency of project outcomes, saving costs and time for customers.
Freddie Ingleby, Managing Director of CCP, said
“We are delighted to be working alongside the expertise of Viridien to support the delivery of this European Space Agency funded feasibility study. The potential impact of repeatable, cost effective, and objective data on the success of a peatland restoration project should not be underestimated. It will provide essential data to landowners, investors, and buyers of carbon credits that the projects are delivering on their intended outcomes now and long into the future, underpinning the integrity and credibility of the work that we do”.
More information on the specifics of the Feasibility Study can be found on the European Space Agency website here

About Caledonian Climate
Working responsibly with the custodians of Scotland’s beautiful countryside, Caledonian Climate is committed to tackling the twin crises of climate change and biodiversity loss.
To achieve this, we talk to forward-thinking businesses who want to fulfil their ambitions for carbon emission reductions through high-quality carbon credits with multiple co-benefits. We then partner them with landholders in the Scottish Highlands, maximising the ecological value and sustainability of their estates.
Building on our significant experience, and guided by a distinguished Advisory Board, Caledonian Climate is delivering the benchmark for long-term restoration of Scotland's degraded peatlands, locking away the carbon for good.
Our work also enhances biodiversity, improves water quality, boosts local economies and creates a compelling story for all of our partners to share.
