Caledonian Climate appoints Natural Capital Director to drive investment in peatland recovery

Leading peatland restoration consultancy, Caledonian Climate, has appointed Charli Adamson as Natural Capital Director to spearhead the development and delivery of natural capital strategies across the business’s extensive peatland portfolio.

Charli joins Caledonian Climate from climate tech start-up Ecologi, where she led strategic initiatives and established commercial propositions, while building resilient partnerships to deliver impactful climate outcomes for businesses. Prior to this, Charli co-founded the Million Tree Pledge, an initiative that mobilised investment from the SME market to fund large-scale reforestation.

The appointment comes at a crucial moment for the natural capital sector, which has shifted from a niche conservation activity to a mainstream economic investment. With research suggesting two in five non-investors are planning their first natural capital allocations within the next five years, and mounting allocation appetite from existing investors, there is a growing need for developers to demonstrate high-integrity, high-performing, evidence-based nature projects to savvy, risk-averse asset owners.  

Caledonian Climate is meeting the increased demand with the new appointment. Charli will champion high-quality, data-led peatland restoration as a viable natural capital asset for businesses and individuals looking to strengthen their portfolio, building tailored value propositions with clear co-benefits aligned to client missions and values.
